re: Deploying SQL Server 2014 with Cluster Shared Volumes

I was getting the error below and the way we got to install SQL 2014 is the following:

1. Move the server (node) that you are trying to install SQL 2014 to the Computer OU

2. Delete the user profile that is trying to install SQL 2014

3. gpupdate.exe /force

4. reboot the server (node)

5. login with the account you deleted the profile

6. verify the server is in the Computer OU

7. Try to install SQL 2014 again to the CSV.

8. SQL 2014 installed with out issue for us

Updating permission setting for folder 'C:\ClusterStorage\Volume2\MSSQL12.DB01\MSSQL\DATA' failed. The folder permission setting were supposed to be set to 'D:P(A;OICI;FA;;;BA)(A;OICI;FA;;;SY)(A;OICI;FA;;;CO)(A;OICI;FA;;;S-1-5-80-333333333-333333333-333333333-33333333-333333333)'.

Click 'Retry' to retry the failed action, or click 'Cancel' to cancel this action and continue setup.
